The greatest team ever? The 2001 Miami Hurricanes football team can certainly make a compelling argument for themselves after their run through that season and the professional success in the years that followed. In the 2002 Rose Bowl, Miami poured it on the No. 4 Nebraska Cornhuskers and their Heisman Trophy-winning QB Eric Crouch with a 34-0 halftime lead on their way to the National Championship. Six Canes would be named first-team All-Americans in 2001, and a record 38 players would eventually be drafted in the NFL, with 11 going on to play in the Pro Bowl—a proud legacy for the Miami program.
